200 people in distress rescued; Italy informed – Alarm Phone

The independent support for people crossing the Mediterranean Sea Alarm Phone said that 200 people in distress were rescued and that the Italian authorities have been informed.

Alarm Phone tweeted that the people were rescued between yesterday night and today morning. They are now on the Italian flagged supply vessel Asso30 in international waters.

Alarm Phone said that the people escaped Libya “and cannot be returned”.
