Two men have been brought forward in Gozitan court after committing 2 acts of theft in supermarkets in Gozo.
In a press release, the Police detailed that the two Serbian men, ages 25 and 32, are being accused of thefts happening between the 1st and 3rd of September from a supermarket in Victoria. They stole items of food and drink amounting to around €200. From another supermarket, a number of alcoholic drinks were stolen, also amounting to around €200.
The accused pleaded guilty, and were sentenced to a year of imprisonment, with a two year suspension. It was also discovered that they were in Malta illegally, and thus, they will be deported.
