16 Gozitans graduate in sign language

16 Gozitans graduated after completing a course in sign language after this course started to be taught in Gozo.

This was announced in a joint statement by the Ministry for Gozo and the Parliamentary Secretary for Persons with Disabilities.

Minister Justyne Caruana said this was the second time within a short period of time that people were given the opportunity to attend the sign language course in Gozo, something that was previously only possible in Malta.

Parliamentary Secretary Anthony Agius Decelis praised the work being done by the Gozo Association for the Deaf which has been offering services and training to around 250 members in Gozo, for the last 30 years.
