Aġenzija Sapport invested €325,000 for 15 new vehicles for persons with disability. 11 of these vehicles are wheelchair accessible, and Aġenzija Sapport now has 34 vehicles. These vehicles are used by the Agency’s staff while working with beneficiaries of services.
Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis said that these new vehicles are to assist persons with disability who attend Day Centres, who reside in one of the Agency’s residence, and also Community Service users.
These vehicles will serve as means of transport for these persons to make it easier for them to go to Day Centres and other appointments. These vehicles will also make it easier to organise more activities and outings for persons with disability.
Aġenzija Sapport CEO Ruth Sciberras said that, along with the present vehicles, these new vehicles will also be meeting the Agency’s needs in both Malta and Gozo.
