15 new cases of coronavirus were reported by the health authorities on Sunday.
A total of 69 individuals have made a recovery bringing the number of active cases to 538, the Ministry of Health reported on its Facebook page.
The health authorities have carried out a total of 188,553 swab tests since the beginning of the pandemic with 1,909 of them being carried out in the last 24 hours.
The cases reported on Sunday are still being investigated.
The health authorities said that out of 27 coronavirus cases reported on Saturday, five cases were family members of previously known cases, one was a direct contact of a known case, four cases were work colleagues of positive cases and two cases are contacts from social gatherings.
The pandemic has claimed eleven lives, with the latest coronavirus-related death being registered on Saturday.
The figures do not include the asylum seekers who have reached Malta by boat and have subsequently tested positive.
