133 new Covid-19 cases

Malta registered 133 new coronavirus cases on Monday following 3,355 swab tests overnight.

The number of new infections went down by 51 cases when compared to the previous day.

To date, the pandemic has claimed 233 lives with the authorities announcing the latest Covid-related deaths on Monday morning.

95 individuals made a recovery thus 2,360 remain active.

From the 184 cases detected on Sunday, 86 have been traced so far.

  • 46 family members of individuals who tested positive;
  • 19 work colleagues of individuals who tested positive;
  • 8 were in direct contact with a positive case;
  • 13 from a social gathering

98 infections from Sunday remain unaccounted for.
