Malta registered 121 new coronavirus cases overnight, the health authorities announced on Thursday.
The new cases were detected following 3,512 swab tests.
127 individuals have recovered. 2,594 cases remain active.
To date, the pandemic has claimed 235 lives.
From the cases detected on Friday:
- 42 family members of individuals that tested positive;
- 11 work colleagues of individuals that tested positive;
- 9 individuals who were in direct contact with individuals who tested positive;
- 12 from a social gathering
