Malta registered 116 coronavirus cases on Wednesday following 3,030 swab tests.
The number of active cases now stands at 2,069 as 124 more patients have made a recovery.
The pandemic has so far claimed 122 lives.
On Tuesday, the authorities announced the death of fire more elderly patients.
