11 persons were fined €100 each during the continuous patrols that the Police and Environmental Health Officers are doing to ensure that there are no groups of more than 4 persons in public places, as per the legal notice issued by the government.
This was announced in this evening’s coronavirus bulletin, published daily by the government.
No one was found breaking obligatory quarantine during the 367 inspections carried out in the last 24 hours, as opposed to yesterday when two persons were caught breaking quarantine.
Since they started, more than 25,000 inspections have been carried out by the authorities on those under obligatory quarantine. The appeal remains that everyone should be responsible and cooperate with the directives being issued by the authorities.
Three new coronavirus cases were announced today, one of which is in Gozo.
