Mons. Giovanni Cefai was born in Żebbuġ, Gozo on the fifth of August 1967. He joined the Missionary Society of St Paul in 1984. His Episcopalian ordination took place on the 22nd of June 2019 at the Arequipa Cathedral in Perù.
