A new beach has been opened at San Tumas Bay in Marsaskala today.
The beach named ‘Fajtata’ was officially inaugurated by the Minister for Tourism Konrad Mizzi and marks the third opened in little over two weeks.
The other two beach projects were recently opened at Balluta Bay and St. George’s Bay in Birzebbuga.
The Environmental Resources Authority and the Foundation for Tourism Zone Development worked alongside the government providing consultation as well as facilities including showers, recycling bins and improved accessibility.
The Minister for Tourism explained that there were more projects scheduled through the Summer period, adding that the government was working to improve Malta’s tourism industry. Mizzi thanked both the Malta Tourism Authority and Foundation for Development of Tourism Zones for their work.
